Spicy BBQ Rub – Naked Indian Cooking Instructions and Ingredients

Our favourite and a game changer for the BBQ enthusiast! This is a universal and adaptable Spicy BBQ Rub which is ideal for Lamb Chops but equally as impressive when used on steak, wings or chicken ect Ideal and a fantastic taste sensation when used on the BBQ but equally impressive when oven cooked.

Preparation

Prepare the marinade and apply to Lamb Chops 2-3 hours prior to cooking – ideally marinade overnight for best results.

Overall Cooking Time – 25 Mins

Method

Mix the BBQ Rub with a spoon of Olive or Veg’ oil. Massage the mix well into your lamb chops or other protein, cover and set aside in the fridge for as long as you can – the longer the marinade the better. For best results – marinade over night.

To oven cook -pre-heat the oven to 220c – add marinated chops (or protein) to roasting tray – put in the oven on middle shelf & roast for 10 min’s.  Take the tray out & turn chops. Return to oven for 10 min’s then remove and reduce oven heat to 180c. Baste with melted butter and move tray to top shelf to roast again for 3 mins each side (or grill if preferred).

To cook on the BBQ take the marinated lamb chops (or protein) and foil wrap. Place to side of BBQ grill away from direct heat and allow to gently cook for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from foil and grill on both sides basting with butter if required, until BBQ char is achieved.
Serve with lemon wedges, salad & hot naan breads.
